I joined 1 to 1 Fitness approximately 11 years ago, mainly to help my
recovery from a back injury, but also to increase my overall fitness.
With a specialized program and the 1 on 1 personal training I was able
to achieve this and a lot more.
With the encouragement of the staff I have set myself goal each year and
have since completed Half marathons, cycle races (Round Lake Taupo), Triple
Peaks challenge and competed in several Body building competitions.
I enjoy going to 1 to 1, the appointment system works really well for
me with my busy lifestyle. The staff keeps me motivated and is happy to
go the extra mile to help me achieve my goals. They also ensure I am completing
my program correctly and using the equipment correctly to gain maximum
benefits.
10 Years ago I would never have thought I would be able to run, let alone
lift the weights I am lifting today. I would like to thank Sheryl Greg
and the team at 1 to 1 for their ongoing help and encouragement.

To Greg and Sheryl
1 to 1 Fitness
Thank you to both yourself and Sheryl for providing a great gym for us
people who need more than a GREAT push to make us exercise.
My kids say it’s the only time I have stuck it out at a gym for
more than two sessions. This time it has been about 10 to 12 years, so
not too bad really.
About my only problem is my other half thinks 5.30am in the morning is
a great time to be at the gym - okay in summer but hard to get out of
bed in the winter.
There are great challenges to do and no getting away with weights that
are too light and easy (with YOU around we learn to NOT
say anything is easy) or watch out! Even though I moan at times I feel
heaps better and know when I have not been. Pauline’s multi tasking
in the mornings when there seems to be bodies everywhere and only one
of her is great, thank you.
Thanks also to the other instructors you are all always there with a smile
,a lovely start to the day.
What more can I say.
Regards

Hi Sheryl and Greg
I have been a regular attendee of your gym for over 11 years now and have
no doubt I will continue to be so for the next 10.
Listing all the reasons for this long relationship would take a long time!
One of the really important issues for me is how well you target fitness.
This comes in many guises and starts with knowing us - your clients individually:
our body form, our health and our goals. Next you target our routines
to help us develop our bodies, maintain our health and reach our goals.
Finally you target the exercises themselves, to work with specific muscle
groups or even to protect others that may have succumbed to injury or
simple wear and tear.
If at any time we approach an exercise in a way that might cause injury
or fail to work on those targeted muscles – we are advised immediately
and told again how to do it properly – even if it is the tenth reminder!
You have a great team!
Cheers

An Experience of 1 to 1 Fitness Challenges
While I was participating recently in a 10 x 30 challenge (stepping),
I was idly chatting to Greg and, perhaps unfortunately, said that I thought
that I was fitter than I’ve ever been. The consequence of that is
this article.
A while ago, after having done most 1 to 1 Fitness challenges
available at the time, I decided to embark on the one million metre rowing
challenge — and I don’t even like rowing! I foolishly hadn’t
done the calculations and didn’t realise that the only aerobic exercise
I would do at the gym for 21⁄2 years was rowing. My rowing was such
that, when my husband Noel asked Vicki and Jodi what he should buy me
for Christmas, they both simultaneously said “a rowing machine because
that’s all she does”.
But, I’m one of those people who are motivated to
complete what they start. As I hated rowing so much, I went “the
extra mile” to complete the challenge as quickly as possible. As
a result, I lost weight and felt good.
So, to stay in shape, I then started on the challenges in
the Challenge Book. I have now completed most challenges.
In the future, I will do the challenges that Greg and Sheryl
devise. To me, it offers something to aim for every time (one more floor
in the 10 x 30 stepping challenge, or progress from the silver to the
gold challenge). Otherwise, I might just “go with the flow”
and not aim to achieve anything.
For me, the challenges are a way to really put something
into my workout. I’ve lost weight and I AM fitter than ever before.
Give the 1 to 1 Fitness challenges a go.

One to One Fitness Studio – My Secret Weapon
Since joining 1 to 1 two years ago and attending regular early morning
sessions I have found that I have heaps more energy to get me through
the day. My working days normally start at 8 am and can finish anytime
between 6 and 9 pm and sometimes later, depending on meetings. This is
often followed by a couple hours reading in preparation for the next day
so it is important to maintain high mental energy.
The atmosphere at 1 to 1 is always welcoming and it is motivating
to see many others fronting up to enhance their fitness. The staff are
friendly and professional and have a wonderful ability to challenge gym
members to push the fitness boundaries.
In the past two years I have walked six half marathons,
the Rotorua marathon and the Mount Erin leg of Triple Peaks and have a
list of challenges still to achieve. I wouldn’t have done any of
this without the encouragement of Sheryl, Greg and their team.
To anyone considering joining the gym I would say “Sign
up at 1 to 1 and you’ll start noticing the difference very quickly.
You’ll discover a secret weapon to give you energy and a great sense
of wellbeing”.
