Fitness - What is it?

Fitness means something different to each individual. It could mean running a marathon, climbing a mountain or simpler things such as being able to hang out the washing, get the groceries out of the car boot, being able to play with grandchildren or just walking to the corner.

What ever it is to you, there is one common fact – you need to do something to find the level of fitness you are looking for. And it may be easier than you realize.

Okay so how much is this going to cost?

The good news is that “Fitness is FREE”. But unless you have the know how, have the motivation and the discipline, you need to pay someone to help you get it and keep it.

It can be “cost” that stops many people achieving. Too many people get caught up with their own enthusiasm, join a gym, pay for 3, 6 or 12mths then just simply don't keep it up, wasting their money. Some fitness centers sell long term contracts which can not be stopped or cancelled. They can be a very expensive scheme unless you attend the gym 4 or 5 times a week, every week for the duration of the contract. If you go only once a week or even every now and then, long term contracts certainly are not always value for money.

Be honest, have you ever bought a gym membership and stopped before it ran out?

Unfortunately the gym won't say, "Sorry, dear, dear, never mind, here's your money back". It just won't happen and once bitten twice shy. So, many people never get back into a gym and often do nothing about their fitness till it is too late.

At 1 to 1 we feel that our per session payment system has much in its favour. It is fair and the same rules apply to all our clients.

But I don’t have time to go to the gym!

There are 8760 hours in a year – all you need to do is use 1% of those available hours to improve your fitness. This is only 87 hours a YEAR! Or in simpler terms 1.5 hours per week! So if you do as little 3 x half hour or 2 x 45 minute sessions of good exercise each week you will improve your fitness.

Remember only 1% of your time can make a difference

But you must keep at it. You can not store fitness – you can store fatness!

For body – for spirit - for mind - for energy - for stamina - for drive – for vitality – for happiness
